CounterPress heads to Ireland with The Leinster Playbook set to launch this summer
A new way to follow Leinster arrives on CounterPress this summer, with The Leinster Playbook stepping up to deliver a high-quality, independent coverage of the Irish rugby powerhouse.
The site will be a home for news, analysis, features, interviews and all things Leinster Rugby in both the women's and men's game.
The Leinster Playbook is led by journalist Brian Strahan, who has written online and in print for the likes of The Irish Times, The 42.ie, RTÉ Sport and The Currency.
The Leinster Playbook members can look forward to in-depth analysis on news and matches, unique feature writing such as the "Around It Goes" column which will link Leinster Rugby and connected stories in culture and history.
"Getting the unique opportunity to offer depth and insight into Leinster Rugby, in a landscape of the quickest story off the blocks, is both a motivation and I do believe, a must."

The revisiting of classic Leinster matches and the stories surrounding them. Book reviews and player profiles. Stories surrounding oppositions as the season progresses and also insight on Provincial players playing internationally and also a spotlight on players who previously played for Leinster.
Brian said: "Getting the unique opportunity to offer depth and insight into Leinster Rugby, in a landscape of the quickest story off the blocks, is both a motivation and I do believe, a must.
"Sports news is losing its weight and depth, when speed of releasing a story is paramount across the board.
"We want to bring it back to long-form journalism, where a story can be enjoyed in isolation and for it's attention to detail and respect for the story being told."
The Leinster Playbook's early interest waiting list is now open, ahead of a full launch next month.
